4th ICC International Mediation Conference – Stay in Control (07/02/2013)

The current economic climate makes it more necessary than ever for companies to keep control over their finances and resources. Commercial disputes have a tendency to consume large parts of those resources. This Conference will examine how alternative and amicable dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms can provide companies with greater control over the ever increasing costs and risks of dispute resolution processes. It aims to provide practical advice and tested tools for improving dispute management through the efficient use of mediation.

Topics include
-Dispute analysis and selecting the best-fitting settlement procedure for the dispute
-Financial reasons for implementing ADR and mediation as part of a company strategy towards controlled dispute management
-How companies need to prepare for the future of commercial dispute resolution
-Exchange of know-how on how best to implement and execute ADR mechanisms within corporations, including a mind map for in-house use
-Case examples of how and when companies should involve external counsel
